Poricy Park Needs You! The Park is unusual in its degree of volunteer involvement.
Volunteers conduct programs, perform office work, build and maintain exhibits, and carry out other vital tasks.
Many
young people have completed service projects for the Park, earning themselves advancement toward prestigious awards, such
as Eagle Scout rank in the Boy Scouts or Gold Award for Girl Scouts.
Additionally volunteers discover new friends,
new talents, and new skills through involvement in Poricy Park.

The Board of Trustees honored Mr. John Laio as the Volunteer of The Year 2006 at their January 18th, 2007 Board Meeting.
John is the owner/operator of Computer World on Route 35. John has donated countless hours and materials to keep our aging computers afloat!! We
know it has not been easy!!! It seems like every other day, John is called upon for a repair or general assistance with
a program. Yet, he always arrives with a smile and willing to help!!! John is truly dedicated to Poricy Park
Conservancy and the community at large. We are honored to recognize him as our Volunteer of the Year!!!!!!
