Hilleary went to court for the large cruelty case involving
the 65 animals yesterday (see our Recent Rescues page), and the man pled guilty -- he was found guilty on 6 counts of
criminal animal cruelty and will be going to prison for 3 years for that, on top of the years he received for other unrelated
charges.

Recently, we helped a woman with 18 dogs who was unable to care
for them any longer -- we're taking several at a time, getting them healthy, and finding them homes.
Last Monday, we took in a very emaciated Mastiff who was found on
Zulla Road near the tennis club in Middleburg. As of today, no one has come forward to claim him. He's a very
sweet dog -- we're calling him Andre!
