MHF places 34th in the nation and 1st in the state of Virginia for
the Animal Rescue Site Shelter Challenge! A great BIG thank you to everyone who voted tirelessly to keep us up in the
rankings! We had our sights set for the grand prize and the closest we came was an 11th place spot early on in the contest.
(as far as we are concerned, the contest lasted way too long!) We hope to find out more information soon about our $1000.00
state prize.

Sadly we were informed that Mr. Settle was granted the
right to file for a 3 judge panel appeal on the 50 Settle dog case that has been under appeal since April 2008. This case
is killing us financially and is very stressful for all involved. But, we have won 3 times and we feel confident that we will
win again.
