FIVE BLESSINGS PRAYER INITIATIVE:

In March of 2008 we started a Five Blessings Prayer Initiative.  I asked for volunteers to pray for Five Minutes a Day for Five Families in the church for Five Blessings, for five weeks.  It took over a year but we reached the end of the membership list and the prayer warriors each got to pray for our members (active and inactive) and friends of SACC.

We will be starting a new Five Blessings Prayer Initiative and I am again asking for pray-ers.  If you think you might be interested please contact me (janklay96@aol.com) or Pastor David (pastor_david@verizon.net).

What "blessings" do we pray for?

B - Body--health, protection, strength

L - Labor--work, income, security

E - Emotional--joy, peace, hope

S - Social--love, marriage, family, friends

S - Spiritual--salvation, faith, grace

If you have 5 minutes a day to spare, whether its first thing in the morning, noon-time, last thing at night, driving to or from work, and you want to bless someone, please consider signing up to be a pray-er. In Galatians 6:2 we read "Carry each other's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ."

PRAYERS FOR THE WEEK:

Pray for the President and his Administration as they establish future plans for our nation.  Pray that our legislators can find a means of working together instead of focusing on political divides.  Pray for the Justices as they deliberate over the many issues impacting our economic and legal liberties.  Pray for the protection of our military forces as they continue to fight for Afghanistan's freedom from tyranny.  Pray for those individuals who seek and work for peace.  Pray for those making decisions that impact Americans' lives and lifestyles.  Pray for peace efforts in the Middle East.
