Wine Makers Notes:
89% Cabernet Sauvignon & 11%
Cabernet Franc
Aromas of blackberry, plum, dark chocolate and toasty spice on a background of floral roses. The 1999 vintage displays incredible balance of firm tannins, lush fruit, velvety
texture with complexity and structure to cellar for 10 years or to enjoy at release. Definitely one of the gems from the 1999
vintage.
Vineyard Notes: The estate vineyard is located at 2000’ elevation atop Spring Mountain. This unique microclimate enables
the vines to rise above the fog line and provide up to 3 hours additional sunlight per day. The 1999 vintage began with a
wet winter that preceded beautiful spring weather and a consistent, but small fruit set.
Moderate summer temperatures and warm fall weather produced grapes with an ideal combination of concentration, ripeness
and acidity.
Barnett History: Founded in 1983,
Barnett Vineyards is a family owned winery located at the top of Spring Mountain specializing in wines from Napa Valley’s Spring Mountain District and selected vineyards located
in ideal microclimates for the varietal.
