This book was published in 1994 amid a health care crisis, It analyzes the causes of the crisis and offers solutions to each of the cause.

The author also helped organize Coalition of the Public and Physicians for Sensible Health Care Reform, U.S.A. during that time. He wrote in the Coalition's newsletters with information about health care crisis and solution.

The author has championed the concept of Autonomous Care that blends the nonprofit regional self-insurance pool and health saving account (HSA) for a long term solution to the health care crisis. Unfortunately, the resistance from special interest groups and political corruption make his project go nowhere. Both the patient and the physician suffer.
