Everyone
has to eat foods, but does not have to "eat" pills. Why
don't we learn how to adapt ourselves to a healthy dietary style that will promise us good health throughout our life without
the need of pills?
As
a medical doctor, with an undergraduate degree in pharmacy, I have taken
excellent care of my patients and educated them with medical common sense.
However, I had failed to take good care of myself. I found out by accident on
June 9, 2002, that my blood pressure was at 205/65 mmHg. I had noticed failing
physical tolerance with other cardiovascular symptoms. After pondering over the
choice of my own care, I decided to contribute the rest of my life for
experimentations. I was going to use no medication for reshaping my health. I
tested the impacts on my blood pressure with no-salt diet and monitored fluid restriction
for the next four months. But, that experiment did not work, instead, resulted
in four readings at 220 mmHg for my systolic blood pressure during the period.
I
was overweight and close to the rank of obesity then. I understood that losing
my weight would lower my blood pressure, because cutting my fat mass would drive
the water out of my body. I also understood that the extra blood glucose
promotes weight gaining and holds back water and sodium from the kidneys. I
immediately gave up all the carbohydrates including rice, except the vegetables
rich in fibers. I lost weight and observed improvement in my cardiovascular
system including my blood pressure. I also found many changes in my body for
good.
During
the same time, I looked into medical and nutritional articles for the answer to
my question: why did I become unhealthy, even I had a “healthy” lifestyle with
a “healthy” dietary habit? Up to this date, I have “sampled” more than 1,500
research articles, and still counting. Because of my growing knowledge in
broadness about diet and health, I have a good grasp of our health problems in
a holistic manner. For that, I have completed a book, Carbohydrates
Can
Kill.
With
my experience above, I have spoken at various meetings. I can help you reduce
your health care cost by showing you how most diseases start and how we can
prevent or reverse them. When you need an inspiring speaker for educating your
