An Invitation for All of Us

This month I received a special invitation from the Philadelphia Baptist Association. It is so exciting that I want to share it with you word for word.

Dear Rev. Smeltzer:

The PBA Annual Meeting will be held on Saturday, May 7, 2005 at the First African Baptist Church in Sharon Hill, PA. The address is 901 Clifton Avenue, Sharon Hill, PA 19079.

As a special feature of the business session of the Annual Meeting we want to introduce all pastors and congregations who have joined the region over the last year. We are asking you and your congregation to attend our Annual Meeting to be introduced to the association members. We will invite you and your members down front to the microphone. After the introduction we will present a special gift to the church. We hope that your congregation will be represented so that the association members can meet you.
