The LMS Compassion Care Program provides residential care for women at least 18 years old and their children, along with instruction in parenting skills, childcare, good nutrition, budgeting, homemaking, job training, basic computer skills and Bible study.
The Lutheran Mission Society’s Compassion Centers serve over 500 walk-in clients per day – providing food, clothing, some health services, disaster relief, chaplaincy, educational services and Christian counseling.
The LMS Mobile Compassion Center can be transported to the site of a natural disaster to bring water, fresh clothing, personal care items, Bibles and spiritual comfort to people in crisis.
The Compassion Housing Program offers furnished shelters to low-income families. This program cares for the whole family – helping to supplement both their spiritual and physical needs – while maintaining the families independence.
