(Part time -- approx.16-24 hours per week) To start December 1, 2009. Lutheran Mission Society is looking for a compassionate, outgoing person who is willing to share their Christian faith and who is not afraid to roll up their sleeves and work. This is a position that requires performing various jobs contributing to the operation of a Compassion Center, including sorting donations; stocking shelves; greeting, listening to, helping and praying with visitors and clients; packing bags of food for clients; cleaning the center; etc. Employee must be able to lift a minimum of 25 lbs. Ability to speak Spanish is a plus, though not required. In addition, at the Fells Point location, employee must be able to ascend and descend a tall flight of stairs during the course of the workday.
Two to three days per week from 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM. Some Saturdays. Training provided. Based at the Fells Point Compassion Center, 1706 Eastern Avenue, Baltimore, MD 21231.
