Across the Local members turned out to remember the tragedy of 20 years ago when CWA 1103 Chief
Steward Gerry Horgan was struck down and killed on the picket line by a NYNEX SCAB. Please click on the verse below to see
his tribute video. Beloved Father, Husband & Brother; now Brother to us all, he was taken from us while walking the picket
line for the healthcare and benefits we enjoy to this day. The Rights NYNEX sought to deny us then...the same rights Verizon
attacks everyday.
We remember what we all lost that day, but most of all WHO we lost.
On this day we are also reminded of how we are stronger together.
How his passing steeled the resolve of all CWA during that contract fight. How we won that strike,
the next ones & every mobilization since.
Rest Well Brother... YOU ARE NEVER FORGOTTEN.
