21 Ways Your Group or Organization Can Help Support Angels Dancing with Horses

1.    Your members could hold fund raising events to 
      benefit  Therapeutic Riding @ ADWH such as a 
      bake sale, car wash, rummage sale, 10k walk or run,
      spaghetti dinner, pancake breakfast, trail ride, tack
      sale, etc...

 

2.  Sponsor a scholarship to enable a low income disabled rider

     to take riding lessons for a month for.

 

3.  Spread the word about our services. Tell anyone you know

     in your club or community with a disability and an interest

     in horseback riding. Help us get coverage of Angels Dancing with

     Horses in your local newspaper.

 

4. Your members can help out at the stable, on trips, or at  

    special events-sign up for training as a volunteer.

 

5. Help defray the cost of feed by donating grass hay, alfalfa

    hay, or feed.

 

6. Sponsor a horse for a period of time, 1 month or a year

   

 

7. Donate new or used tack and equipment, i.e. saddles, bridles,

    horse blankets, saddle pads, etc...

 

8. Contribute to our equipment fund, for the purchase of a vaulting surcingle

    used by people whose disabilities make it too difficult to ride in a saddle.

 

9. Donate office supplies such as white or colored copier paper,

    ink cartridges for our ink jet printers, file cabinet  etc...

 

10. Encourage members and friends who are interested in riding

      to patronize Serenity Mountain Stables.

 

11. Use your members' grant writing, marketing, and fundraising

      skills to help Angels Dancing with Horses broaden their community support.

 

12. Sign up for our mailing list to receive notice of fund raising

      events such as poker rides, auctions, trail rides, Christmas

      Gift Wrapping, etc. and patronize those you can.

 

13. Ask us about other ways of helping with ongoing projects,

      current wish list items we need, and a variety of special

      one-time events and projects.

 

14. Volunteer your skills and labor to help with large projects –

      building winter shelters, mending fences, building hay

      storage, repairing arena roof, building additional stalls.

 

15. Donate building supplies for large projects, repairs and

      general maintenance trails, etc. dimensional lumber, sheet

      goods, cement, loads of gravel, metal roofing etc..

 

16. Persuade a member or friend who is a CPA to do and audit

      of our books so we can apply for larger grants.

 

17. Volunteer your office skills in your spare time to help with

      responding to request for information,  correspondence,

      filing, photocopying, stapling, fundraising projects, news

      letter mailings, etc.

 

18. Place a donation jar in your members' offices or places of

      business with proceeds to go to Angels Dancing with Horses

      Therapeutic Program (collection jars available upon request)

 

19. Volunteer your members' professional skills or those of their

      companies to help Angels Dancing with Horses with a special

      project or ongoing operations.

 

20. Club members with horse experience can volunteer their

      spare time to help with regular horse care, mucking out

      stalls, exercising horses, grooming, worming, vaccinations, feeding, etc.

 

21. Contribute a service or item to be sold at our annual

      fundraising auction such as a trip, use of a time share, dinner at a local restaurant,

      manicure,  tanning booth time, gift certificate, hair styling, lawn

      maintenance, photo session, etc.
