We are a United Methodist congregation dedicated to sharing the love of God in our community and the world, and we strive to offer Christ to those around us.

Our Mission Statement:  This is God's church, gathered by the Holy Spirit, called to be Christ's body, united in worship, reaching out to the world.

Our congregation has been in the community of Lyman since 1840 and still going strong.

We are dedicated to making our church a safe place for everyone, especially our children.  Sunday school is offered at 9:30 a.m. before worship, and all ages are invited to attend.  Our men's group meets on the first and third Sundays of the month for breakfast, and we have an active choir that rehearses on Thursday evenings at 7:00 p.m.

Children ages 4 and under are in the nursery.
Our children are our future, AND also our present!  We can learn from them!

Here is the nursery.

The nursery is located at the back of the sanctuary and has a large window looking out toward the congregation.  The nursery attendants are made up of parents and grandparents, and they are able to hear the service through speakers.  Children begin in the worship service, and after the "Time for the Child in all of Us" are allowed to go to the nursery if their parents take them there.

Some of our outreach missions:

Monthly offering for the Lyman-Dayton food pantry.

Christmas gift collections for needy families.

Monthly service at a retirement center.

Thanksgiving baskets for those who need assistance.

Support for those in need.

Participation in the missions of the United Methodist Church.

We also are involved in ecumenical activities, such as a Thanksgiving service, Lent services, and an Easter Sunrise service.
