History

Gary D. Finch, a native of Auburn, New York, graduated from Simmons School of Embalming on March 18, 1966. He became a licensed funeral director on September 13, 1967. Gary purchased the Shakelton Funeral Home in Aurora, New York from Mr. Charles Shakelton in January 1970. After serving many families and individuals in Aurora, Gary branched out into the Auburn area purchasing the Brew Funeral Home of 48 South Street, Auburn, New York from Lester Brew, Sr. upon his retirement in 1986 .
