We are
excited to see this year as a banner year for expansion and success in Nepal. Our staff has grown to 30 people! 28 of which
are nationals. With a new clinic opening in 2007 in Nardi, Nepal, PUMA's ability to offer quality primary health
care services in the districts of Gorkha, Tanahau, and Lamjung will be stronger than ever. Currently all of our
clinics are making health care available to well over 120,000 people. The future is bright as we begin our next 5-year agreement
with Nepal's Social Welfare Council, giving us the green light to continue with medical work in central Nepal. That agreement
also allows us to expand across the country bringing life-saving medical aid and help to many many thousands of men women
and children.
On January
12, 2007, we will inaugurate our newest facility in Bhiarahawa, just south of the major city of Butwol. At this facility, we will offer full lab testing and Ultra Sound testing.
Below is some of the staff
that will be stationed at the new clinic. In addition, there are some pictures
of the clinic taken in December 2006
