In the 1950's Cosmodyne responds to the US Marine Corps' requirement for mobile, air transportable lox plants for Aviator Breathing Oxygen in forward areas. The Model GB-1A, Cosmodyne's first air separation plant, was deployed with the USMC through Desert Storm - a 30+ year career of successful service.
With its headquarters and manufacturing facility in Torrance, CA, Cosmodyne is conveniently located south of Los Angeles and minutes from Los Angeles International Airport. The site is comprised of 121,900 sq. feet of developed property situated on over 13 acres with immediate access to the Long Beach and Los Angeles Harbors.
