My artistic goal is to paint the way I want the canvas to look...not how my subject appears. In my opinion a successful painting
contains rich darks, muted colors, a minimum of brillant lights and is not academic or highly finished. I am presently devoted
to still life arrangements because this allows me to control the lighting and composition.
