We got music, we got rhythm
Despite the near-zero temperature last night, over eighty came to Trinity to hear six ensembles from the Alpena
Symphony Orchestra. What a treat! Our Deacon played violin in a quartet with a parishioner playing cello. I don't know how
many trumpets, baritones, trombones, and basses combined for the concluding piece by Gabrieli, but they sounded superb. It
all leads me to remember my seminary professor for sacred music. Today's temperature at sunrise was five below. Though
the temp is still in single digits, the sun is high enough this Feb. 16 to melt snow on the rectory roof. -- Bruce

Tell me what you think.
Well, it's been a long night (last night after Catholic spaghetti) and day. I'm getting the hang of web-design,
thanks to a link passed along by Dave Walker of CartoonChurch.com. Tonight, it's off to hear ensembles from the local symphony
orchestra. Yet another outreach, insofar as the orchestra is using our acoustically-superb sanctuary and nave. -- Bruce (the
Rector)
