Up-Coming Youth Events
Youth Sunday School classes meet every Sunday beginning September 9th from 9:30am to 10:45am. Classes are grouped
by ages as follows:
Nursery - Kindergarten, 1st 2nd, 3rd & 4th
grades, 5th & 6th grade, 7th - 12th grade.
Sunday School classes participate in 3 mission projects each year. The missions are, Operation Christmas Child,
The Souper Bowl of Caring, and the Heifer Project International
The Fishers of Men is First United Methodist Church's Youth Group (7 -12 grade)
The
main meeting time for this group is Sunday morning each week. The youth participate in lock-ins, bible study, youth worship services and mission projects such as the
30 Hour Famine . Each year, the Fishers of Men have the opportunity to participate
in the Peninsula Delaware Conference Youth Rally and an annual summer trip.
Our
goal is for the youth to build healthy relationships with a priority on learning to live in relationship with Jesus.
Guppies
The Guppies are our Jr. Youth Group. (1st - 6th Grade) Their activities include
lock-ins, short afternoon trips and activities. The Jr. Youth Group gives our Guppies a place of their own where they can
get closer to God and develop new friendships in a safe setting.
