2009-2010 MEMBERSHIP DUES
CREDIT CARDS CAN NO LONGER BE ACCEPTED AS A METHOD OF PAYMENT.
Standard Membership Card: $20.00 (includes $10.00
National Dues, $9.00 Local Dues and $1.00 Maryland State Dues)
Co-Association Membership Card: $ 9.00
(A bowler must pay additional dues if they are bowling in multiple associations. A Co-Association
card is purchased when the second association is within the Maryland State Area. This means that the bowler has already
paid their National fee and their Maryland State fee and are only required to pay the additional Local membership dues.)
State & Local Membership Card: $10.00
(This is purchased when a bowler is bowling in multiple associations and they have not already paid their Maryland State
Membership dues.)
LEAGUE SANCTION APPLICATION
Secretaries, your league sanction application must be received in our office within 30 days of your first
night of bowling. Your President should be verifying funds and performing other duties as described in your league officers
handbook and USBC Rule Book. Your BONDING is affected by your timeliness and your President's duties as well as your
bowlers receiving their membership card in a timely manner.
AWARDS INFO
THROW AWAY ALL USBC AWARDS FORMS FROM PRIOR YEARS!! They
are obsolete. Please look at your supplies closely. USBC has done away with the patches and pins and the new awards
(magnets) are for game and series only! Average criteria for each has changed significantly! Honor Scores (300,800,11row,
900) awards choices and have also changed! Old forms will not be accepted. Local GBBA awards, (towels, centuries, 800's)
have not changed!
Secretaries, please do not fax awards applications. USBC rules that
we must have the original application and not a faxed copy.
END OF YEAR AVERAGES
In late April you will be receiving your
league's 2009-2010 End of Season League Average request form. This form must be filled out at the END
of your league and returned to us within 10 days of your league end date.
Please verify that the correct spelling
of your bowlers name is being used and make sure that ALL of your bowlers (including those ladies who have paid their
GBUSBCBA Co-association dues), that have 21 games or more in your league, are included on this form. Please
list any bowlers, (that have 21 games or more) that are not included on our list at the bottom of the sheet along
with their bowler ID #, their total pins,games and average. It is extremely important that you include
the Member ID# for any bowler you are adding to our sheet. Many problems can occur when a bowler's
average is submitted without proper identification.
TOO MANY SECRETARIES ARE RETURNING THEIR END OF SEASON LEAGUE
SHEET INSTEAD OF THE PROPER FORM SENT TO YOU BY US.
IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT YOU USE THE FORM THAT WE HAVE SENT
TO YOU TO REPORT YOUR AVERAGES. ALTHOUGH IT WOULD BE EASIER FOR YOU TO JUST SUBMIT YOUR END OF YEAR LEAGUE SHEET;
IT DOES NOT GIVE US THE PROPER BOWLER IDENTIFICATION NUMBERS THAT WE NEED TO BE SURE THAT THE CORRECT BOWLER IS GETTING
THE CORRECT AVERAGE. IT IS IMPOSSIBLE FOR US TO DETERMINE WHO IS WHOM WHEN YOUR SHEET LISTS ... JIM, JAMES AND
JIMMY AND OUR ROSTER LISTS... JAMES JR., JAMES SR. AND JAMES III !
Bowlers, if you have not received your Sanction Card, please either contact
the GB USBC BA or go to www.bowl.com and check on your membership. All bowlers who are participating in a USBC Sanctioned league
must have a membership card. If you have lost or misplaced your card you can go to the above website and print yourself
a new one.
