Welcome bowlers to the 2009-2010 bowling season. This season is quickly getting underway, it seems
like the summer just flew by. I was able to attend some of the League Officers meetings this year and did get a chance
to say hello to at least some of you.
USBC has gone through many changes this past year including completing their move to Arlington, Texas.
They have revamped the awards program for this year starting on August 1, 2009 so please make sure that you pay special attention
to the flyers and paper work that has been given to you or are on display at your center.
The GBUSBCBA has been able to keep our fees from going up this year, this is a big plus with the times the
way they are. We even managed to incorporate a new tournament this past year. It was our first Sport Challenge
tournament and it went off pretty well even though we were newbies at it. For those of you who participated this year,
thank you for your support.
We at the GBUSBCBA do try to work together to get what needs to be done but if there is something that you
need personal attention with, I am available. All of our phone numbers are available in the yearbook. If you do
not have access to one, please ask your center to use theirs.
Remember that even though the BUSBCWBA and the GBUSBCBA are not merged at the local level, we still try
to work together as much as possible to service our bowlers. Watch for our Combined Hall of Fame Dinner/Dance that will
be held on November 13, 2009 at the Del Capri. We really have a good time and the bowlers being inducted truly deserve
our support and well wishes.
Have a great season, and don't forget to check back on the site often for changes and announcements.
