Strategic Planning Update

The process of developing a new Strategic Plan to carry Ascension forward through the next 3 to 5 years has begun.  An organizing committee, comprised of Father White, Sandy, (Vicar’s Warden), and Hab, along with co-facilitators Marti and Marilyn, have begun laying out the parameters of the job ahead. The first step has been the creation of a Strategic Planning Task Force.

Beginning with a careful review, (and possible revision), of our mission statement, the Task Force will embark on the job of articulating a vision for Ascension, and then identifying what will be needed to make that vision a reality. As the work of the task force progresses, a number of small groups will be created to provide additional input and ideas, and to help in defining the specific steps that will effectively take Ascension into the envisioned future. The intention is that by involving as many people as possible from all segments of the congregation, the Strategic Plan that is developed will reflect the dreams and aspirations of the whole community.
