Rebuilding Together Greater Haverhill, Inc. brings volunteers and communities together to improve the homes and lives of low-income homeowners. Our mission is to “To preserve and revitalize houses and communities assuring that low-income homeowners, particularly older adults, disabled or families with children live in warmth, safety and independence." We are incorporated to work in the greater Haverhill, and focus our resources on assisting the elder population.

Rebuilding Together Greater Haverhill, Inc. is a local 501(c)(3) tax exempt affiliate of Rebuilding Together, the nation's leading organization bringing volunteers and communities together to improve the homes and lives of low-income homeowners. Rebuilding Together Greater Haverhill. Inc. was incorporated locally in 1991 as "Christmas in April", and held the first home repair in Haverhill in April of 1992. The name officially changed nationwide in 2006.  Since our first project, more than 2000 skilled and unskilled volunteers have performed hundreds of successful building rehabilitation, accessibility modification and energy efficiency projects to more than 600 homes worth a market value of more than $2 million.

What We Do

Rebuilding Together Greater Haverhill, Inc. is a non-profit that provides free home repair, accessibility modification and energy conservation services for low-income greater Haverhill homeowners, particularly the elderly, people living with disabilities and families with children.

National Rebuilding Day:

On the last Saturday in April, more than 200 volunteers gather to provide home repair, accessibility, modification, and energy conservation services for low-income greater Haverhill homeowners. Volunteer skill levels range from trades people to weekend warriors.

Emergency Home Repair:

Through out the year, critical home repair or accessibility modifications are completed for low-income Greater Haverhill homeowners, utilizing a combination of paid contractors and volunteers.

Special Events:

Corporate sponsors have an opportunity to bring together employees for a unique team-building experience while making a difference in the life of a low-income greater Haverhill homeowner. Projects are selected to match the skill set of the volunteer team and supplemented by skilled trade people as required. Sponsorships for our glow golf tournament fundraiser are also available.
