"After being involved in several motor vehicle collisions and sustaining multiple sports injuries., I learned firsthand what it’s like to have both chronic and acute back and neck pain. I want to help those who are suffering to recover from their painful conditions the way I was helped through chiropractic care. Chiropractic care and physical therapies are the perfect complement to the comprehensive list of treatment options available here at Baltimore Family Chiropractic."

Like most of the people out there, I had never even thought of going to a Chiropractor.  I have to admit, I hadn't even heard the word before I was introduced to one.  What I now look back at as a blessing was once one of the worst moments and time periods in my life.  I was hit from behind when I was 20.  The driver later confessed he was traveling at speeds in excess of 75mph.  I however was at a complete stop.  When  I awoke I found myself trapped in my vehicle and I desperately struggled to get my bearings and get out.  My seat had broken, my trunk pushed up against my seat and the interior light was digging into the back of my neck.  I was hit so hard that the keys were out of the ignition.  Because my rear doors were now pinning closed the front doors, I had to jump out of the window.  I awoke once more in a puddle of gasoline.  I didn't have much pain at first, I was a wrestler and had continued working out regularly so I determined I could take a hit like this.  I refused an ambulance and was taken home.  My pain increased and I visited the emergency room.  The emergency room doctor as well as the orthopedic specialist explained that I was fine and sent me home with pain medication.  This began my very long treatment ordeal.  I was sent from doctor to doctor and the medications they gave me made me groggy and damaged my stomach to the point that I could hardly eat.  The pain ran down my legs to my toes, I couldn't sit still.  This made sitting in class very difficult.  I had pain in my neck, headaches, jaw pain and TMJ.  I was miserable to say the least.  Then came the depression!  I was at the point of desperation when my attorney noticed me squirming in my chair and encouraged me to visit the doctor across the hall.  This doctor just happened to be a Chiropractor.  It was a laid back kind of atmosphere and like many I had heard the "Quack" stories.  I was shocked when after an exam and xrays he sat down with me and explained my situation to me better than I could have explained it.  He showed me my xrays which by the way revealed a fractured vertebrae.  He ordered MRIs which revealed four disc herniations.  He explained that my treatment would not be quick and that I could experience more pain at first.  Everything he told me would happen, did... I canceled all other care and after months of pain, depression and fear I was beginning to feel hopefull.  The pain subsided very quickly but would return. He explained the reason for this and just as he said, with care and therapy the duration and frequency of the pain would go and go and go.  Well here I am.. A Chiropractor!!

I haven't forgotten my experience and I'm proud to say that  that our office addresses situations like mine everyday with the care and wisdom that I only wish I could have had.  I urge all patients to learn what Chirpractic can do for you.
