Youth News
School
is back in session. The crisp weather is right around the corner. It is time to kick off another exciting year
of fun, service and singing at New Hope! This year, we have changed things up a bit. Youth
group and youth choirs will meet three times a month. We will meet and fellowship together on the 1st,
2nd and 3rd Sundays of the month at 6:00. On the first Sunday of each month we will enjoy a fun
meal together before choir
practice. Second Sundays will be devoted to service (service projects, planning, outreach and so on…) followed
by choir practice. On the third Sundays we will just have some fun
together before moving into choir practice. All school age youth are welcome. Your youth leaders this year are
Teresa and Keith Hill and Heather Gearhart. As always, your choir
leader is Donna Boles.
Don't forget about Sunday School at 9:45AM each week!
In early May, we all hiked up the Cascade Mountains outside of Blacksburg
and enjoyed God’s creation and the fun together. Because of the rainfall
we have had, there were massive amounts of water flowing down the mountain. When
we reached the top, the 30-foot waterfall was spectacular! Here are some of the sites we experienced!
In October, we traveled to Sinkland Farms to the Pumpkin Farm! We were able to enjoy the petting zoo, ride ponies, experience the corn and toddler mazes, have our face
painted, and ride on a tractor to the pumpkin patch to find us a pumpkin! See
what fun we had!
