Sean "Skip" McCarty is the Head Coach and Co-Founder of the Bluefish Baseball Club. The team was formed in September 2003, when members of the Mets (Al Becker) and Astros (Skip) met and decided to merge the 2 teams in forming the Bluefish. In the five seasons the Bluefish have been together, they have won 132 games, 63 losses, 4 ties and 2 YBL Championships.
Prior to joining the Yawkey Baseball League in 2005, Skip served in various
roles within the Boston MABL. As a player, Skip collected over 150 hits
and 100 runs scored in 9 full-time seasons. He also served as a Manager
and a Board Member during his MABL tenure. McCarty was a 3 year varsity
starter at Duxbury High School (MA) and was Captain and an Atlantic Coast League
All-Star in 1992.
