Sean "Skip" McCarty is the Head Coach and Co-Founder of the Bluefish Baseball Club.  The team was formed in September 2003, when members of the Mets (Al Becker) and Astros (Skip) met and decided to merge the 2 teams in forming the Bluefish.  In the five seasons the Bluefish have been together, they have won 132 games, 63 losses, 4 ties and 2 YBL Championships.

Prior to joining the Yawkey Baseball League in 2005, Skip served in various roles within the Boston MABL.  As a player, Skip collected over 150 hits and 100 runs scored in 9 full-time seasons.  He also served as a Manager and a Board Member during his MABL tenure.  McCarty was a 3 year varsity starter at Duxbury High School (MA) and was Captain and an Atlantic Coast League All-Star in 1992.

He received his bachelor's degree in Physical Education from Florida Southern in 1996.
