There were twelve in all
from different walks of life
They were to answer the call
that would lead to much strife

Through it all
they learned who he was
They served him well
and furthered his cause

They are gone now
They went to be with him
So it is up to us
to go out on a limb

To take up the cross
and for him we will run
To tell others about Jesus
and what he has done
