Welcome !!!  This site is all new for Valentine's Day 2005!  As with all my holiday pages, I try to create a fun filled experience for the entire family.   Have a seat and enjoy and most of all, have a wonderful Valentine's Day!

Ok here's my take on Valentine's day... I've been married now for 8 years.   Most people either hate Valentine's Day or love it.  Maybe because I'm lucky enough to have a really decent hubby that most of the time when he has his head screwed on right (ladies you all know what I'm talking about) makes most days close enough to Valentine's Day.  I have to admit for my aunt, gram and in public my hubby mops for me and even helps with the laundry.  My family will also tell you that he puts up with me.  Then there are times that I tell him things and he does something totally unhinged and I just talk to myself for days like in the last snowstorm.  I think that in life and marriage you have to take the good with the not so good.  I've been lucky enough to have more good than bad and alot of laughs at the bad looking back.  So he asks if I'm watching a foreign film when I'm watching a Shakespeare play, well we cant have everything.  He does look really cute in the right pair of jeans.  After 8 years we still have fun together and I can't think of anyone else in the world that I have more fun teasing and torturing.  His family will say he deserves me.  All and all, yes ladies I have a keeper.  So... in the grand scheme of things, I have all that a girl could ask for.

What do we know about Valentine's  Day???

Ok the short version, If we take the way back machine to roman times, soldiers were not allowed to marry for fear that they would not want to fight.  A catholic priest named Valentine defied the emperor and secretly married couples but got caught.  While in prison, he healed his jailors blind daughter and just before his execution he asked for a pen and paper and signed a farewell to her "From your Valentine".  He was beheaded on February 14th.
