Frankfort, Kentucky (Wednesday 16th March, 2011)...Kentucky Jobless Rate up as More Look for Work

Booneville, March 9, 2011, (Venison Turner)  Drug Screening for Public Assistance Recipients- There has been discussion and rumors posted on Topix regarding a new Kentucky law. A visit to the Snopes.com website by the Editor found that they put an end to the rumor that the law was passed. Snopes investigates emails, forums, and other Internet rumors, scams, etc.

There is a bill amendment on the table in the Kentucky legislature to require recipients of Public Assistance to get drug screening. If a person does not pass they would still remain on assistance if they agree to participate in a rehab program. Go to https://secure.kentucky.gov/billwatch/BillSummary.aspx?br_rsn=27337&ses_rsn=85 for a summary of  Bill KRS 205.200.
