Serena immigrated to the United States in 1901 or 1902. According to the 1920
Census, her siblings followed in 1903 and 1904 and settled in Humboldt County, Iowa. Family tradition states that her parents
also immigrated about the same time. (3)
The Sorensons were farmers.

is listed on her printed funeral notice. Names of her siblings were provided by her son, Roy Fries. Myron’s birth year
comes from the 1920 Census of Corinth Township, Humboldt County, Iowa. The others’ birth years come form the 1920 Census
for Rutland Township, Humboldt County. (3) Immigration date for Serena comes from her 50th anniversary announcement. Other
