Welcome.
This site examines the history of my ancestors, primarily the Bowers, Price, Nye and
McDaniel families.
Following are some of my earliest ancestors in these lines:
+ Diel Bauer emigrated from Germany to Pennsylvania around 1750.
+ Andreas Neu immigrated from Leistadt, Germany, to New Jersey in 1733 and later moved to Pennsylvania.
+ Christian Price and his son Nicholas emigrated from Hesse-Darmstadt, Germany, to Hancock County, Ohio, in the 1830s.
+ James B. McDaniel was born in Delaware in 1802 and migrated to Wayne County, Ohio, and later Wyandot County, Ohio.
Other
families in my ancestry include: Moyer, Bellas, Lesnett, Potter, Hartzel, Stamm, Piersol, Stilly, Custard, Graff, Gerwig, McDonald and Erb in Beaver and Butler counties in Pennsylvania; and Beagle, Dove, Frederick, Tracy, Tracht and Warner in Hancock and Wyandot counties in Ohio.
Finally, there are a number of interesting families who settled in the Dutch colony of New Netherland during the seventeenth century. I have just begun researching this branch of the family so I have not yet completed
narratives for most of these lines. However, I am trying to keep the source lists updated.
