HAPPY BIRTHDAY -
I'm Two Years Old!!!
WOW, what
an amazing year it has been. I've learned and done so much over
the past year!! I got a new baby brother, I've gotten ALOT taller
and I
talk in "long" complete sentences. In fact one of my
favorite things to do is talk and tell everyone about everything I know
or see!
Some of my
favorite things right now are fire trucks, construction vehicles, cars,
and musical instruments! I'm constantly going to get Daddy or
Mommy and say "Listen, I'm jammin'" (so cute!) I know so
many things too like my full name, my address, my town and state, how
old I am, how many fingers I have, and I know and can point out all my
ABC's and can count objects up to 10 and recite from 1-20. I know
all my shapes, all my colors, lots of concepts like in-out, up-down,
over-under, forward-backward, upsidedown-rightsideup, clean-dirty,
sorting things by sizes, etc... I can even spell my name
too!! (thanks to the B-I-N-G-O song!!) OH, and just recently
I've learned all my basic phonic letter sounds too! They tell me
that I have an amazing memory - I love to tell them what's "coming next"
on all my videos or books and can tell you stories from all kinds of
events in the past I've attended! It's so much fun!!
Some other
fun things I like to do are playing in Daddy's car and pushing all the
buttons, talking on the phone, taking a BIG BOY shower, playing with my
cars in the driveway, going to the playground, riding or pointing out
John Deer tractors/lawn-mowers, and I still LOVE Baby Einstein videos!!
It's the first thing I ask for when I wake up each day! This year I've
also become quite the athlete and can play basketball, soccer, throw the
frisbee and baseball, do somersaults, and have even recently learned how
to pull up on the swing-set rings and swing while saying "Look, I'm SOOO
strong daddy!" I'm definitely ALL BOY!
This year
has been so much fun! It's been really great to have a new
playmate too in my little brother Nathan. I really like to climb
in his crib and play with all his toys during "playtime". I've
been teaching him so many new things like walking and sign language, but
sometimes I get a little frustrated when he gets in my way and try's to
take my toys. I'm learning and growing though in how to share and
"use my words" instead of my hands! (he tends to push!) It's a great
challenge sometimes but I know we're gonna be BEST BUDS!! I can't
wait to see all that the next year has in store for me...I'm going to be
taller and smarter than ever!! Stay Tuned!!
(Brady is such a loving, cuddly little guy
that LOVES to entertain!!! He is still trying to find
his place right now as a big boy, 2yr old, and big brother, but he's
making the transition great! He
loves to play and has an amazing imagination!! One of the things
people comment on first about Brady (besides how cute he is, of course!) is his
language skills. He talks very clearly and in amazingly full
sentences. There isn't anything he can't say and he LOVEs to
repeat whatever he hears. He's also mastered his basic phonic skills
and can pretty much tell you what every letter sounds like or what sound
makes a letter. Because of this we are now teaching him how to put
those letters together to make words - reading!! He's been such a
fast learner...I'm sure he'll be reading soon!There's definately no hurry
though...he's growing up too fast as it is!! The past year has been such
an amazing joy and we are SOOOO truly blessed to be His parents!)
They say
the 2's can be terrible, but we're looking forward to them being
TERRIFIC!!
Starting in January, stay tuned for news on potty-training and
transitioning into a "big-boy" bed!!
