HAPPY BIRTHDAY - I'm Three Years
Old!!!
Wow, it's hard to believe
that our little three year old toddler is already such a big boy!
He has become so independent - fully potty trained, gets himself dressed
and undressed, can read some of his books, and he's faster than a
speeding bullet and can leap tall buildings in a a single bound too!
Amazing! No, seriously...he absolutely loves to climb and jump!!
Jump off anything! We have a double stair landing and he loves to
jump off the 4th or 5th step down to the bottom and he's not even 3ft
tall yet!! We still think he may be a gymnast and will be putting
him in a gymnastics class beginning in January just to see if he likes
it. Most importantly, it will help him wear off all his 3yr old
energy! Something happened the few months before he turned 3 - a
release of energy like I've never seen before!! He runs and runs
and jumps, and hops, and wrestles, and twists and turns non-stop!!
The phrase, "Brady be still" has recently become a regular part of my
new vocabulary as he's getting dressed, or brushing teeth or even
eating! A very energetic and enthusiastic fun little guy!!
Brady also really likes
to sing and dance and has recently learned "word-for-word" his first
worship song by Christ Tomlin "Holy is the Lord God Almighty" - it's so
cute and he, Nathan and Daddy even have a dance to it. REALLY
FUNNY to watch! Even more funny to watch him dance to all the
Wiggles songs too!
He has transferred out of
playing along side of his friends and now loves to play WITH
them...running everywhere, usually with Nathan following close behind.
Some of his favorite things are anything Rescue 911 related - Firetrucks,
Police cars, Ambulances, etc..., the stars and planets, and his new
favortie thing is Thomas the Train! He's gotten a few of the
trains and takes them everywhere!! He's very imaginative and loves
to pretend to rescue everything and make them talk to each other.
Of course, Brady is still
doing fabulous knowledge wise too. We've mentioned it , but his
memory really does amaze us!! It usually only takes him hearing
about something once and it's stuck in his little mind forever.
That includes reading, numbers and math, simple logic things, etc..as
well as, the names of every Thomas train, star, type of car, ways things
work, on and on. He really loves learning new things.
He's learning how to write his letters and doing great learning to read.
He's also just recently learned how to add and subtract or shall we say
"add one to" and "take one away". He loves that game!!! OH,
and beats me at the Memory Game EVERY TIME!!!
Brady has such a sweet
and compassion demeanor. If he hurts someone (and it wasn't on
purpose!!) he is VERY quick to apologize and give them a big hug.
And he has such great manners - "Thank you, please, your welcome, excuse
me, may I be excused" are just normal parts of his vocabulary. So
nice! We're just praying it's all still there when he turns 13! :)
Brady is truly a JOY and
little encourager!! He tells me numerous times a day just while
he's playing "Mommy, I love you" or will just come and randomly give us
a Hug. It still melts our hearts every time!
