Membership

There are several types of membership, each is from 1st January to 31st December. Those joining during the year will receive back copies of the journal for that year.

You can download the membership forms in Acrobat format (you need Adobe Acrobat reader installed to view and print), Follow this link to download "membership.pdf" or if you would like the membership forms emailed to you, email bfhs@bfhs.org.uk They are in Word format.

Individual Membership, which includes one copy per issue of the journal - £10.00+£2.00*

Family Membership for each additional person at the same address - £1.00

Overseas Membership (Surface Mail) - £10.00+£2.00*

Overseas Membership (Airmail) - £12.00+£2.00*

*There is a joining fee of £2.00 to cover the cost of the Members' Pack. This should be included with the subscription for the first year of membership.

NOTES

1. Applicants for Membership after 1st November will be assumed to be joining for the succeeding year, (unless otherwise specified) and will not therefore receive a Journal until the following Spring (March) but will be welcome to attend the November and December meetings.
   
   
2. Cheques and Postal Orders should be made payable to "Bedfordshire Family History Society".
   
   
3. Payments of Overseas Subscriptions must be by STERLING cheque or money order. It is regretted that the disproportionate exchange rates for small amounts of other currencies make it impractical to acceptpayments in those currencies. Sterling cheques can be obtained as follows:
   
   Australia and New Zealand
   Most banks will provide sterling cheques. Some of the larger genealogical societies hold U.K. bank accounts and are willing to provide sterling cheques for their members.
   
   Canada Sterling cheques can be obtained from Accu-Rate, 2573 Carling Avenue, Ottawa, Ontario K2B 7H7. Calls (613) 596-0612. Website www.accu-rate.ca. There is no additional charge for issuing the cheque.
   
   United States of America Sterling cheques (British Pounds bank draft) can be obtained from International Currency Express Inc, 427 North Camden Drive, Suite F, Beverley Hills, CA 90210. Calls (toll free) 888.278.6628. Website www.foreignmoney.com. The cost to USA client should be sought when you call.
