A real treat whether it's served as a dessert or as a salad 

Raspberry Jello Dessert

Ingredients:

  • 2 pkg. (10 oz. each) frozen raspberries
  • 2 pkg. (3 oz. each) or 1 pkg. (6 oz.) raspberry gelatin dessert
  • 2 c. boiling water
  • 1 c. applesauce

Dissolve gelatin mix in hot water, then add applesauce and raspberries (thawed or partilly frozen) with all juice.

Pour into a flat baking dish, cover, and chill overnight. Spread with marshmallow-sour cream topping and cut to serve.

Topping:

  • ½ pt. sour cream
  • ½ pkg. (16 oz. pkg.) miniature marshmallows

Mix sour cream and marshmallows together in a bowl, cover, and refrigerate overnight.

Blend well with mixer or blender unutil smooth and fluffy. Spread over the top of the set raspberry gelatin dessert, cut and serve.

The topping also makes a delicious dip for sliced fresh fruit. Keep extra in a covered dish in the refrigerator for up to a week.
