In 1973, Frank Brooks started out in the small south Jersey clam town of Tuckerton,
with a small boat, motor, clam rake, lots of muscle and determination. He dug
clams every day and sold to the local restaurants up the Jersey coast. Over the years, he built up a reputation for fresh quality clams and on time deliveries.
Now located in Sea Bright, New Jersey, Brooks
Seafood Distributors, Inc. grew into a complete seafood company. Brooks Seafood
Distributors, Inc. supplies hundreds of New Jersey’s finest chefs, restaurants and fish markets with fresh
fish, deep sea scallops, shrimp, Maine lobsters, Bluepoint Maryland oysters, Maryland crab meats and, of course, our famous
clams.
Fresh clams have always been a big part of Brooks Seafood Distributors, Inc. Located
on the premises of Brooks Seafood is the Brooks Seafood Depuration Plant. The plant is the in-house claming depuration
facility that is responsible for purifying the clams. Whether you are looking for littlenecks, topnecks, cherrystones,
or chowders, this ensures that you always get the freshest and cleanest clams that are available.
