My first Meg. After three years of screening for smaller teeth, I finally stumbled on to three Megalodons, one week after becoming MGS member. Coincidence? All three have weak cusplets, which probably means they belong to these C. Chubutensis - C. Megalodon intermediates?
![]() Well preserved Meg, measuring 2.5" along the side. Some damage to the tip. | ![]() Another decent find (for me atleast) was this 1.75" Mako, broad form Isurus Hastalis? Also with a chipped tip. | ![]() Finally, a rare Notorynchus Primigenius, with just a little root damage, 19mm wide. I have only seen the Hexanchus dentition in Kent (1994). And the only illustration of a tooth like this I could find is in the brochure from the Calvert Marine Museum. Where does this teeth go in the dentition? |
