Some people have a name that is very common, and some have a unique name,
like Deborah Prussel. There is only one Deborah Prussel on the internet.
My name is Bruce Kauffman. There are a number of us, but not too many.
I never met another Bruce until high school, and I've only met one other
Bruce Kauffman. Recently I was mistaken for another Bruce Kauffman. Thanks
to the internet, I let them know, and they found the right one not too far
from me (though he is unlisted).
It made me decide to publish here
the other Bruce Kauffmans I could find on the internet. Maybe some other
Bruce Kauffman will find this page and let me know. I'm only including
those who spell our last name the same way - there are a number of ways to
spell it.
For me, I am S. Bruce Kauffman, and there is another mentioned several places
on the internet. We find that he was a distinguished graduate of Manchester
College in Indiana, he got a Ph.D from the University of Chicago, went the
academic route, then got an MBA from University of Pennsylvania, and worked
on Wall St. Plus he was a great singer, and, at one time, a great tuba
player. Sadly he died June 21, 1996. The links include this one here from Penn.
Another place tells
us he has written on religion and we find him and his book here and here.
From Manchester College in Indiana we can read about him
here,
here,
and here.
Sadly, though, we see he also passed away and thus they have the
Bruce Kauffman Award in his memory.
This
reference to S. Bruce Kauffman doesn't tell us anything about him, even
though it may have some relationship to the this one that identifies him as
managing director at Goldman Sachs. And finally is this PDF
file from the University of Chicago.
Now onto the other Bruce Kauffmans. The most well known Bruce Kauffman is
Bruce W. Kauffman, a
U.S. District Court Judge, a former Pennsylvania Supreme Court Justice, and a
partner in Dilworth, Paxon, Kalish and Kauffman law firm in Philadelphia.
Here is a photo. The bio is not
his, but the photographer's.
There is another Bruce W.
Kauffman with the Tennessee Department of Agriculture, Forestry Division.
You can reach him
here. He may also be the president of the Tennessee Entomological
Society.
Bruce Kauffman is also a staff writer at the North County Times in San Diego.
This is one of his articles.
He also once said:
"I've defected from
CNN (the second time in nine years)," and was then heading up the
Atlanta bureau for Thomsom, the Canadian media company.
In Hartford, the same Bruce Kauffman "was a reporter for the daily Hartford Courant and a
founding reporter and editor for the the weekly Hartford Advocate,
the alternative in Central Connecticut," but the link is no longer available.
This same
Bruce Kauffman
is probably the one who taught journalism at Clark Atlanta University.
This Bruce Kauffman is an ecologist in the State of Washington. You'll
find him referenced in this document. There is also
Bruce Kauffman, a Washington State Fish & Wildlife biologist referenced
here.
He might be the same Bruce Kauffman in
this
forum for members of the International Association of Penturners. Penturning
is apparently a branch of woodturning.
Bruce E Kauffman is a law partner at
Kauffman & Forman
in Baltimore, Maryland; though he was born in Camden, NJ. He is also listed at
Spoke.
Bruce H Kauffman law firm is
here
in Orlando, Florida. I used to have him as a partner with Peter Shapiro.
Down in Houston
Bruce Kauffman
runs Kauffman Capital Advisors. He'd be one of these panelists in the
This Bruce Kauffman is a
Gynecologist
in Bethlehem, Pa.
In Scotch Plains, NJ, Bruce Kauffman is
President
of the New Jersey Parks & Recreation Association.
Again in southern New Jersey, is
Bruce Kauffman
is mentioned in the Jewish Community Voice when he was at a 66th
wedding anniversary for his parents. I wonder where he lives, since that's
where I live.
Going back a little,
this Bruce Kauffman was born in 1899 in Allegheny, Pa. But this family
database doesn't tell us much more about him.
In Albuquerque, New Mexico, Bruce Kauffman had been said to own or represent
the
Music Mart , but he is not mentioned there now.
Bruce R. Kauffman was mentioned in the 1951 graduating class at the
College of Wooster, but that is no longer on the internet. He is listed as a
crew member
of a Tank Landing Ship. He may be the same one who is the director of the
Boca Raton Public Library Foundation.
We've got Bruce Kauffman who is with Alstom and gave a lecture on safer
ship-to-ship DP control strategy Aquadyne's Technology Awareness Seminar 2002
on October 30-31, 2002, but the page is gone from the internet.
Another is a 2002 retiree of Binghamton University in New York, as janitor,
but that is no longer listed on the internet. He is probably the
Master at ArmsUSS Boxer Veterans Association in Binghamton.
There is a Bruce Kauffman involved with the Colorado Council on the Arts
Poiesis Poetry project.
Bruce Kauffman wrote a poem, Night Song, that is included in an anthology
of poets. He may be the same one who has written
Seed,
a book of poetry.
Bruce Kauffman Jr. of Belleville, PA was a winner in some school fundraising
drawing.
A 'Jr.', so we must have Bruce Kauffman, Sr. somewhere. They are listed at
switchboard.com (see below).
The Management Learning laboratories did a need assessment for
Bruce Kauffman
of Westfield in 2002.
I said I wasn't including other spellings, but here is a
history site by Bruce Kauffmann, a columnist and historian. I've seen
his column in the Tribune-Star (www.tribstar.com) of Terre Haute, Indiana.
The have hi bi-line as Kauffman, and later as Kauffmann.
historylessons.net has it as 'nn' and his home is Alexandria, Virginia.
As an athlete, there was a page on Michele Kauffman at Penn Athletics, and
it mentioned that her parents are Marti and Bruce Kauffman, but the page is
gone.
There's a listing for a
Bruce Kauffman
who is interested in World War I modeling.
An obituary from Martinsburg, Pennsylvania mentions a
Bruce A.
Kauffman who died in 1972. A previous internet listing had
mentioned him as razing the "king of barns". He is a Mennonite.
Donald Bruce Kauffman is listed
here in
Los Angeles. Looks like it's the name of the library.
Bruce Kauffman is also a superintendent associated with swine. Looks like
he's the superintendent of swine at a fair in Iowa as described in this
PDF file,
Manta has
Bruce Kauffman owning a dairy farm in Shawano, Wisconsin.
Spoke has
the previously mentioned Bruce Kauffman from Kauffman and Forman in Towson,
Maryland.
SOS
Doctor has Bruce A Kauffman as a doctor in St Louis, Missouri.
Rate My Professors lists Bruce Kauffman in the Department of Journalism
at Palomar College in San Marcos, California.
Switchboard.com
lists 32 of us. We've got Massachusetts, Connecticut, New
Jersey, 2 in New York, 7 in Pennsylvania, Georgia, 3 more in Georgia all
with the same middle initial, but different cities, 4 in Florida, Ohio,
Indiana, Michigan, 2 in Illinois, Texas, California, Washington, Maine, 2 in
Maryland, and Tennessee.
LinkedIn
lists 9 of us. You can find these above, but get more information on them
here. Somehow I happen to be the first one listed.
Facebook
lists 13 of us. You can find these above, but get more information on them
here. Somehow I am also the first one listed here.
MySpace
only has 4 of us and again I am also the first one listed here.
A search at Classmates had 6 of us listed. I was not
the first in the list.
