- I enjoy our history via the presidents. The best place
to start may just be Wikipedia. This page has a list of the
presidents which will then lead you to the biographies of
each president. And, as usual with Wikipedia, you can
then get info with a click on almost anything associated
with that president.

History Central
- History Central is mostly on the history of the US
with short descriptions on various topics. Since I like
to read about the presidents, they also have short
biographies of the presidents and the first ladies.
(Somehow, both of the Roosevelt first ladies have no
information.) But the best part of this site, for me, is their
Election Central. You'll find the link to it on the left
column. Click on a year and get information on the
conventions, the popular vote results, and the electoral vote
result. Under States Covered or States Carried
you'll find how each state voted. The more recent elections
have a lot more information.
