NEWSLETTERS
These are the remaining newsletters that I receive. The best of the computer technical ones are all gone, and these are not what they were. Most of mine nowadays, therefore, are not hi-tech. Link to their site to sign up and receive them daily or weekly, or in some cases bi-weekly. With some of these you have a choice between text and HTML.
The LockerGnome describes interesting sites to see
and software to get.

This Is True reports on bizarre-but-true news items from legitimate
newspapers from around the world. Usually rather interesting stories.
The author occasionally reports on stupid 'No Tolerance' policies in the
schools.
The story that follows from 'This Is True' should change
every day.
The Tourbus gives reviews
of useful and interesting sites,
usually on a specific topic.
There is also info on technical
issues.
The idea is to give
a tour of a topic.
Scambusters gives you
weekly reports of various types
of scams: mail, online, contractors, and so forth.
Advice on what to do about them too.
I get a few newsletters concerning Israel and the way news is
presented about its conflict, and about terrorism. The first of these is
from
who tells it like it is with the problems of
terrorism in the world.
Another excellent newsletter is from
which keeps an eye on the bias of the news media against
Israel.
