| Model 9604 Lineside Tool and Supply Shed. Color is Pullman Green |
The model 9604 Lineside Tool and Supply Shed is a charming structure that features a board and batten structure
built on a raised platform. The shed has two movable doors; one, a standard door, and the second, is a sliding freight door.
The roof is hand shingled with cedar shingles and features a ventilation cupola on top to distinguish it from other plain
structures. Again, as of June 1999, you can also obtain the supply shed with a corrugated metal or tarpaper roof. The platform
is of a stacked timber design, built to boxcar or flatcar height, so that railroad tools and supplies can be unloaded. There
is a rear stairway to ground level, and a dock area to load or unload wagons or trucks. The entire structure is made of redwood
and cedar and double stained inside and out. This structure can be used anywhere on the railway, in the yard area, alongside
the mainline, or at the end of a siding. With the addition of some tools, crates, and people, you have a perfect lineside
scene without having to tear up and redesign your layout.
The lineside tool and supply shed requires a space that is 19" long and 8 1/2" deep. The
overall height of the shed is 10". The platform should be placed away from the track based upon your widest piece of rolling
stock. The weight of this structure is about four pounds. As with all our structures, each Lineside Tool and Supply Shed is
stamped with its own serial number.

Customer feedback about this structure has led to the design and nationally release of
three additional structures based upon the model 9604. The two strongest points of feedback that we received were that some
individuals did not like the ventilation cupola, and wanted a bit more of a traditional structure. The second point was that
they would like to use the structure more as a general freight platform with an office, rather than just simply a tool and
supply shed. As a result of these inputs, we designed the models 9602, 9603, and 9605 structures. The model 9602 is identical
to that of the 9604 except that the ventilation cupola was been removed. The model 9603 also does not have a cupola, but the
ends of the shed have been modified. The end near the dock has a standard door and window so that it appears that an office
is in the end of the shed. The far end of the shed has a single window centered in it to allow additional light into the structure.
The model 9605 has all the features, and has the same ends as the 9603 in addition to including the ventilation cupola. All
of these new designs still use the same platform that was originally designed for the 9604. They can be obtained in our
standard colors (link to Color Selection), or they can be obtained as raw redwood.
