The model 20048 Brass Spider Bearing is the perfect mate for the model 20007B Turntable Display
Stand to form a very prototypical narrow gauge turntable! In addition to the bearing shown above, this item also includes
the end rollers for the turntable deck, and the locking mechanism to manually align the turntable rails with the entrance
or exit rails from the pit. If you order a model 20007B Turntable Display Stand at the same time as the 20048 Brass Spider Bearing, we will install the bearing, rollers, and locks onto the turntable
at no charge to you!
With our installation documentation, you can use our bearing for your own turntable
deck design if you choose not to use our model 20007B. This allows you to have a prototypical spider bearing without
having to perform all of the machining required.
Both the upper and lower rails are 6" in diameter and made from code 250 nickel silver rail,
secured with stainless steel spikes into redwood ties. The ties are double stained dark brown, or can be obtained unstained
so that you can match them to your own deck finish!
If you electrify your rails, make sure and order our optional model 20049 power pickups that
eliminate the need for a complicated segmented outside power rail!
If your installation plans include motorizing the turntable deck, then give us a call to discuss
our spider bearing option that features a 1/4" solid brass shaft and deck plate coupler!
