The model 0450 Passenger Shelter was designed to be used by itself, or in combination with the
model 0432 C&O Quinnimont Two Story Depot. As a single structure, it can be placed anywhere on a garden railroad where a passenger train might stop to unload
or pickup riders. Those individuals that operate trolley lines can use it instead of a depot.
The Passenger Shelter can also be used with any of the depots that we sell to make a more dramatic departure
area. As seen in the photo, It can be placed up underneath the eave of a depot on either or both ends to enhance the size
of the depot.
The structure exhibits a natural charm with all of its exposed beam and bracing detail underneath the roof
line. Optional lighting can be added during construction, or afterward by the owner.
All surfaces inside and out are double stained to seal the surface from moisture. One of the finest
features of this structure is the charm of the hand shingled cedar roof! Each shingle is cut by hand and attached using Titebond
II waterproof glue. The passenger shelter can also be obtained with tarpaper roofing or metal roofing.
The serialized passenger shelter requires a space that is 17" long and 7 1/2" deep.
The overall height of the shelter is 8".
