2007 - 2008 Concert Series

Frank & Lydia Bergen Foundation - Presenting Sponsor

Since 2000, our concert series has been supported by a grant from the Frank & Lydia Bergen Foundation.  We greatly appreciate their continued support.  Without it, we would not be able to present the caliber of the performances that we have been able to bring to the residents of Western Burlington County.

The Frank and Lydia Bergen Foundation was created in 1983 pursuant to the wishes expressed by their only daughter, Charlotte V. Bergen (1898 – 1982) of Bernardsville, New Jersey.  During her lifetime, Charlotte Bergen had the distinction of sharing the works of the masters by presenting and conducting over fifty concerts of fine, traditional music in Carnegie Hall, to which the music-loving public was invited, free of charge.  In 1981, Ms. Bergen donated her rare 1701 Servais Stradivarius Cello to the Smithsonian Institution, where it is maintained in the Hall of Musical Instruments.

The Bergen Foundation supports performances and education in the musical arts that contribute to the public’s awareness, understanding and appreciation of the classical musical arts and lead to increased musical skills.

General Support

For the past nine years, we have received a grant from the Aetna Foundation through their Aetna Volunteers! program.  The money is used to support the general operations of the Foundation, and we are grateful for their continued support.  Visit Aetna at http://www.aetna.com.

The Historic Broad Street United Methodist Church has been a tremendous partner with the Burlington Township Community Arts Foundation, allowing us the use of their facilities for our concerts over the years.  We appreciate all they have done for us and how accommodating they have been.  The church is involved in a wide variety of community outreach and invites you to visit their website at www.broadstreet-umc.com to learn more about them.
