DoAll Bandsaw

Space is tight in my garage, and the saw weighs about 800 #'s.  I need to be able to move it about.

My Delta 14" bandsaw's mobile base was the design basis for my DoAll mobile base.  It has an arm with a cam to lift one side of the base off levelers onto a swivel wheel (2 fixed wheels on the other side) for rolling around.  Standard design for many WW tools.

I wanted the handle horizontal when in lift position, and didn't want the cam to shift from down to up by itself.  Here is my wooden test cam.

Because of the DoAll's weight, I wanted 2 swivel wheels so a change of direction would not cause the machine to tip when the casters turned.

My base has fixed steel rear wheels, swivel casters and leg levelers at the front.  Pushing the handle horizontal (down) raises the base onto the front wheels.

This is testing the wooden cam after the pivot arms were attached to the base.

Yup, I made the handle. Hmmm, seems to have shrunk from the template. :)
