Parts Washer

I have a bargain-priced parts washer, but I've wanted one that offers the convenience and efficiency of the higher end units. So I've undertaken several upgrade projects to improve my unit.

My washer, a typical unit

Replaced 1/2" with a sink drain; installed PVC with spray holes

Installed solution tank in base

Addition of wheels to gain mobility

Installed a goose-neck faucet & solution brush

Wired and plumbed, ready to go

A surplus submersible pump in the tank pressurizes the pvc, faucet, and brush, with ball valves providing flow adjustment. The pvc has holes pointing inward to bathe parts, and a few point at the walls to rinse them.  Someday a filter will be added.
