Table Leg

Our kitchen remodel included replacing the table with a granite table.  The table needed a center leg and a wall ledger + leg.  The ledger + leg would be angle iron bolted through the interior wall and cinder block garage wall, on top of a box section.

My design for the center leg was 2 x 2 x 3/16 box section, with u-channel arms at the top and secondary supports on the arms. The bottom would sit on a stub of smaller box section that will be screwed to the floor.  Table weight was estimated to be 400-500 #'s.

Finished, showing exposed arms and boxed column.
