Need to get rid of old NiCd batteries? The Rechargeable Battery Recycling Corporation lists local stores where you can take them to be recycled.
Looking for information about used oil recycling? Look no further than the API's Used Oil webpage.Ohio's section of Earth 911.org is chock-full of recycling and waste reduction information about everything from drop-off recycling to electronics recycling. It's well worth your time to check it out and see what they have to offer. (If you're not from Ohio, go to the Earth 911.org main page to find out about your state).
Do you have an old computer that you don't want anymore? IBM has a program where you can recycle that now-obsolete computer. For more information, go to IBM's website. Apple and Dell also have similar programs.
Do you have an item you no longer need, but can't find an outlet to recycle it? Try Freecycle.org. You may also be able to find something you need at Freecycle.org. Freecycle is a great way to reduce waste.
Craig's List is another great location for selling your used items. Remember, buying used is saves the environment is more ways than one!
