Time Rushes By
poem by: Nigel
Corbett
(Inspired by Dor's painting entitled "Ides of
Time")
Time stretches for an eternity
We are all victims of modernity
Fools rush in where angels
fear to tread
Thoughts are always spinning through my head
Time ticks away
As night follows day
Moonbeams and stars
Contrast with a world full of cars
Lost in the rush
And
squeezed in the crush
Take time to relax
Switch off the mobile
and fax
Look up to the sky
And pray to the Lord on High
Ask him to guide you
To where the angels may find
you.
