Our tenants fall into three categories: 1) any single person 62 years of age or over; 2) any
married or related couple where one person is 62 years of age or over; or 3) any certified disabled, handicapped or developmentally
challenged person, regardless of age.
Applicants must have certifiable income that covers basic needs
of at least $12,300 [for 2008], and income that does not exceed the federal requirements for the “eligibility to rent
categories”. For 2008, these maximums are, respectively for singles and couples:
- Very
Low Income: $29,550 and $33,750
- Low Income:
$43,050 and $49,200
- Moderate Income: $48,550 and $54,700
